Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Responsible for the design, installation, optimization, management and maintenance of all process instrumentation and control systems in the plant. Serve as Subject Matter Expert across the company to identify and resolve safety and reliability opportunities of the instrument and control system assets. Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel daily. Develop and execute a long-term plan for upgrading aged and obsolete plant control systems equipment to include I/O Cards, Controllers, Power Supplies, Operator Workstations, Engineering Workstations, and Process Control Network Hardware.Lead and coordinate all configuration activity, alarm management, and HMI updates for process improvements and capital projects. Negotiate and administer the support contracts with site control system vendors (Emerson DeltaV; ABB).Engage with production engineers to create and optimize batch sequence programs to improve process standardization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Collaborate with IT, Engineering, EHS, Production, and Maintenance colleagues to develop and maintain a 5-Year Automation plan for the site.Provide troubleshooting support for the maintenance instrument mechanics and production engineers to resolve equipment and process issues.Manage the calibration requirements of plant quality critical instruments. (Maintenance ISO Coordinator).Conduct training for the maintenance instrument mechanic group to enhance skill sets.Consistently demonstrates a high regard for personal safety, and for the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.Lead and supervise technicians (2).Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and support EHS Management Systems.Maintain close working interaction Plant Leadership, Engineering, EHS, Production, Maintenance, and 3rd party contractors. Bachelors Degree in Engineering.Minimum of three (5) years of relevant experience in Control Systems & InstrumentationKnowledgeable in Process Control Networking architecture.Knowledgeable in Function Block Coding and Ladder Logic.Knowledgeable with PSM regulations.Strong safety consciousness, strong EHS awareness, and familiarity with EHS requirements.Highly motivated and energetic, willing to demonstrate significant ownership of process instrumentation and control system areas.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook / Office / Excel/ PowerPoint etc. - computer basics.Working knowledge of SAP.Familiarity with ISO Standards/Requirements.Proficiency with ABB/Bailey Series 90 & Emerson Delta V control systems.Understanding of alarm management and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) concepts.Basic understanding of chemical plant operations.Experience with Six Sigma, and LEAN is a plus. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
