If you answered yes to any or all of the above, 1st Choice Delivery has the opportunity for you! 1st Choice Delivery is looking for a Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers.
We have delivery routes with immediate availability.
No nights or weekends required! Driver would pick up product for route at our Marietta Ohio facility.
Drivers are independent contractors on 1099 and as such are responsible for providing their own delivery vehicle and fuel.
YOU MUST HAVE A CARGO VAN FOR USE ON THE ROUTE These are the responsibilities for this position:
Scanning of product at both the warehouse location as well as at the customer locations.
Loading product into own delivery vehicle.
Obtaining signatures at each delivery location and then returning manifests signed by driver and customer.
Picking up and returning empty totes and customer returns.
Must have a professional appearance and have a courteous attitude toward customers.
Daily attendance is required as drivers are responsible for their route coverage unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Products to be delivered are of vital importance to our customers so any potential candidates need to be aware of this commitment before applying.
These are the skills and requirements that we need from a driver:
Excellent attendance record from previous employment Good organizational and time management skills Good driving record Ability to work independently Ability to complete work within a designated time schedule Good attention to detail Knowledgeable about technology in using a handheld scanner with cell phone Full coverage insurance (100,000/300,000/100,000 limits) Previous delivery experience preferred but not required - we will gladly train the right candidate!
