Our client has an immediate requirement for an onsite Desktop/End User Support Tech for a 6 month contract to hire roleMonday - Friday 8am -5pm with 1 hour lunchJob SummaryThe Onsite Desktop Support/Customer Service Tech - is an intermediate position that performs tasks related to the repair of a variety of technology-based products typically associated in an end-user computing environment.
Responsibilitieso Performs basic and moderately complex troubleshooting and repair activities, typically associated in an end-user environment, including but not limited to PC's, desktops, laptops, tablets and printers.
o Provide support to client identified VIPso Responds to change management requests including installing new PC equipment, providing end-user desk side support and other related activities.
o Perform Install/Move/Add or Change (IMAC) activities.
o Perform all assigned desk-side support activitieso Display outstanding technical and professional services skills at all timeso Meet - established customer service satisfaction levels and other operational/customer service metrics as outlined in established guidelineso Proactively communicate with the end-user and service desk personnel regarding arrival times, repair time estimates and status of the repairo Understands and follows all documented service operations policies and procedures.
o Other duties or certifications may be assigned to meet business needsEducation and
Experience:
o Typically requires technical school certification or equivalent of 2-4 years of relevant experienceCertifications and/or
Qualifications:
o Maintain all required OEM Certifications as directed by Managemento Knowledge of relevant software and hardware systemso Understanding of ITIL methodologieso A
certification is desiredo May require additional customer-specific certifications or training as requiredSkills:
o Excellence in communication and customer-facing skillso Strong oral, written and interpersonal skillso Ability to follow instructions and processes with minimal instructiono Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
o Must own a basic repair kitAdditional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended Recommended Skills Reports Analysis Information Systems Auditing Interface Process Improvements (Business) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
